Yesterday was Father's Day. For a present, Mom had me give him a book called "How to Build Small Boats".

As for the card, the front said "I was just remembering those long drives on our family vacations", with a car driving down a zigzagging road. When you open it, the speaker chip says five stereotypical complaints that kids are often shown making, which I'd rather not write here. I thought it was appropriate, though, since it had only been several weeks ago that we had gone on a trip somewhere.

Washed and vacuumed out Dad's van, and also made him and myself a burger, since it was Father's Day, but also because I'm not really doing much of anything these days except checking my messages and playing Mahou Poipoi Poitto. Also moved some topsoil for Mom, with which to plant grass.

Mom made some fried chicken and heated some corn on the cob, and had me make brownies, all to eat on the catboat. Originally, we were planning on going there to give it a cleaning before eating dinner there, but Dad decided we'll do that another day.

We ate dinner at home, individually, but we did end up going for a sail anyway. Took a different route to get to the boatyard, and since it was already too late in the afternoon to go out to the bay, Dad just let it drift down the opposite direction down the river and let Mom practice turning it.
