Aug. 15th, 2011 07:26 amMom told me about this game she and Dad had been playing on Facebook, called Gardens of Time, and asked me if I could start playing it as well in order to send her gifts during times when she can't do anything in the game. Having just finished Chip-chan Kick two days ago, I decided to give it a try yesterday morning.
If there's any game that I can actually alternate with studying Japanese, this is likely it. Missions require you to spend 10 units of energy each, and energy takes time to recharge, unless you buy some with gold bars (which are obtained mainly with real money).
So far, I've invited Jake, Melissa, Cameron, and Chelle to get in on the action as well. Jake told me bluntly that he hates Facebook, Melissa doesn't play Facebook games, Chelle is still busy with Gaia Online, but Cameron seems interested enough, even though he did say he'd rather not establish a Facebook account.
Anyway, in search for USD-free ways to earn gold, I found out that you can redeem Gamers Unite! coins for Facebook credits, which in turn can be redeemed for gold. However, I did also read that this will cease to be the case on December 11. Set up an account on GU! just last night, so now it's time to save up some coins while they're still redeemable.
