Feb. 13th, 2012 07:28 amMom and Dad both weren't feeling too well yesterday, although Dad was feeling well enough to do some work in the garage. Mom told me in the morning that if she were to feel well enough later in the day, we'd go to the gym somewhere between 3 and 5. Played some rounds of Getter Love!! and read a few chapters of that book, while checking my emails and DeviantArt messages in-between each.
Come 2:45, Mom still wasn't feeling well, and suggested that she drop me off at the gym and do my first independent workout while she go to the shop to feed the cats. Did a full chest workout, and while most of the machines for that routine are located in the section closest to the windows, I ended up walking around in circles looking for the Incline Press (and also asked the receptionist if he knew where it was, which he didn't). Just when I was about to give up, along comes Peter Sollecito to greet me. Curious how he managed to recognize me, since I didn't even recognize him by his face or his voice at first.
We chatted for a little bit, and I asked him if he knew where the machine in question was. Turns out it was in a different section entirely. Afterwards, I asked him how he was doing, and he told me that he's been working on cars lately, and his brother Charles has been tending a bar somewhere. I told him about having finished college two years ago, and that Brian and Marie are both going to different schools (the latter is due to graduate this summer). I then wrote down the link to this blog on an empty page in my notepad and gave it to him, and then he left.
( Speaking of him... )
Mom had also done some shopping in Savers, right next to the gym, and then gave me a call right when I was in the middle of dialing her up.
