Long live the Getter Love!! website!

Yesterday, agataylor asked me to list which girls of the beehive series were never chosen by anyone for a commission. One of them just so happened to be Makoto Minagawa, and I was about to include a link to the Getter Love!! website next to her name, only to find out that the site is gone.
Well, I'm not entirely upset about that, and I'm not gonna make a big fuss over recovering everything that was on the site. If anything, one has to wonder how it remained up for a total of thirteen years after the game's release date (which in turn, I learned yesterday and should note, was exactly three months after Google got incorporated), since websites cost a monthly amount of money to host. However, it does kinda suck that this happened within only several weeks after I linked to it from the Job Offers blog. Thankfully, Chelle still had an image of Makoto from since she created my icon for The Beehive, so there's at least that. I have also asked on the JO blog if anyone has other images copied from the site; even though it's doubtful that anyone does, it is the best time and place to have asked in case they do.
Well, even though so much artwork is now lost for that game, illustrations for most other games come primarily from printed media such as instruction manuals, player's guides, and gaming magazines. Most of what does make its way online (at least by fans) comes from stuff like that, and I wouldn't be surprised if most companies outright prohibit their official artwork to be hosted anywhere online, save for their own websites (which I gather is exactly the case with Group SNE, which owns the Monster Collection franchise).
Well, I've had future plans on requesting further Getter Love!! fanart, but for that, I'll probably take screenshots of the game directly through EZ-Cap.
