On the second question, yes, you read right: Death & Return of Superman wasn't the worst game I have ever played; only the worst game I had remembered playing until some time ago. Brian rented the Simpsons game only once in 1997, months before I started keeping track of days, while The Fellowship of the Ring was one of many games stored on the ROMs disk that Cousin David gave us back in 2001, which unlike D&RoS (which was on the same disk), I had only played a few times since, never getting any further than the first boss. So, yeah, I can't really blame myself for having previously forgotten about those two.
Anyway, speaking of the last question in the meme, I've won an auction last night for eleven Nintendo Power magazines (namely, volumes 69-79, the ones that I read back in 4th grade, after I first discovered it at the library). Since I'm studying kanji for the sake of a Yoshi's Island fic that Jake once proposed to write, I'm probably gonna be reminded continually of those days, given how important a part of it the real Yoshi's Island was.
I did consider saving such a thing for after I finish both books of Kanji in Context, but I'm only on lesson 26 of the ninety-four that comprise book 1, and I don't even know yet how long book 2 will be. So, there's no point really depriving myself of it, is there? However, I do plan on playing Yoshi's Island for one last time, and then selling it along with the Super NES, once Jake gets started on the fic (assuming the system actually still works at that point, after having been repaired just two years ago and still unused since).
I have also seen a website where one can download PDF versions of any volume they'd like to read. However, I think it would be more convenient and nostalgic to be able to read the real thing on my bed, than to be confined to reading it on a computer screen, and I would rather download stuff onto this computer as little as possible. And there's also one game in particular, for which I plan to patch or staple up any content pertaining thereto.
