Jul. 1st, 2012 07:36 amLogged onto Angry Birds Chrome yesterday morning. Saw another Wonderful Pistachios promotion, and read about it. Turns out that yesterday was the last day it was being held, but the prizes that were offered didn't really interest me anyway.
Played through all six WP stages without a hitch. Started over with Poached Eggs, the invisibility glitch is no longer there, and the action was completely smooth... at least for the first ten levels, before it slowed way down. Turned off Google Chrome, and then picked up again with it, and it happened again after only a few more levels.
Considering that the invisibility glitch never happened in the first place on our main computer, I'm thinking the same would be true about the game slowing down, if only it ran as smoothly as my laptop. Still not true, even after Dad installed that memory card that Brian ordered for us. I even tried running Mother 3 on Visual Boy Advance, and it's just as slow and choppy as it was before. That means that our hard drive is simply past its prime, and the only real solution is to buy a new one altogether, although we can cross that bridge another day.
Finished watching Nichijou (including the OAV), and then decided to play Chip-chan Kick instead, in hopes of remotivating myself to continue with Kanji in Context. Didn't work, although it has been the first time I've played anything on my TV set since we dropped Grandpa Bob back off at New Jersey. It's only been barely more than a day since I decided to have a break from writing, so maybe I'll play Getter Love!! for a short while, until I get bored with that.
(Also, Mom and Dad came home last night.)
