Jul. 9th, 2012 08:02 amSent nanashi-no an email asking if she'd be willing to talk about what went wrong last September. Third one so far since, and she still hasn't replied, which goes to show how capable some folks are of begrudging the most trivial stuff for any length of time. Had a convo with Jake yesterday, regarding exactly what bothers me about the fact that she no longer wants anything to do with me.
Well, if I hadn't managed to step out of bounds however I did, I would consider her as indispensable to me as Jake is as a ghostwriter and Chelle is w/ more roles than one. There's the fact that she has shown how capable she is at matching the style of any given anime that she's assigned to work on fanart of (unlike most people--looking at you, Colaholic!--who would rather stick to their default style), and also charges only several hundred points, instead of accepting only money. However, at this point, this is about more than just artwork. Even if I do find someone who's just as good as her, the fact that she ditched me but is still on good terms with at least several hundred other people leaves me kinda hurt, and this isn't something I intend to simply accept. At the very least, she could have told me where I went wrong, and we could have worked something out, instead of her getting all huffy and just abandoning me. I'm not quite unreasonable.
Mentioned it to Mom later on, when we were driving Marie to the ferry in Port Jefferson, and showed her the convo when we got home. She says that it could be that I might have been too critical for her, and the fact that I requested some (rather excessive) changes might have been what made her decide to give up with me.
Should also note that I discovered that she actually never took down her copy of Milfeulle's pic. It was up there the whole time, but came off of my favorites gallery as a result of being blocked by her. Took down my own copy in response.
Anyway, it's not as easy to simply ignore someone when they're speaking to you physically as it is on the Internet, but anonymity works both ways. To my advantage, I could start using my other account at some point to start over with her, and she won't likely know (least not at first) that she's speaking with the same person whose other account she blocked, something which wouldn't be possible in real life.
If I decide to do that at some point (at the very earliest, after I complete Unit III of Kanji in Context), here are some things not to ask for or mention to her:
-A Little Snow Fairy Sugar (or at least not for the same pic for a fourth time. If I decide to ask for anything at all of Saga in her swimwear, I should pretend to be someone else who saw the first edition before when it was up.)
-Pokemon (especially Parasitic Trio)
-Mon Colle Knights (especially Cult and any related stories)
-Galaxy Angel
-this blog
-my regular DA account
-Chelle
If she asks about it, though, I won't bother denying anything. Chances are, that'll probably mean she's found out already.
Anyway, right now, the only pic I'd be particularly interested in asking her for (if I was still in touch with her, of course) would be of Shiori and Kaori from Kanon, as giantesses. Of course, agataylor has already agreed to do that during the 100-Fanart campaign of Job Offers, and I'll probably have Chelle color it in when the lineart's finished, since she'll probably be more able to bring out the same etherial feel of that series (even if the texture is different).
If anything, the first thing I might actually request from nanashi might be of Lucia from Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch, in her idol form, w/ her hair updone. Beehive girls aren't something I ever had commissioned her to draw as DMXrated, so that might be a good place to start.
And then there's the issue of the complete lack of content I'm currently hosting as BeehiveMoon, and the possibility of her looking at what I'm hosting or have favorited as DMXrated to find any similarities. I have removed quite a few pics as the latter, along with the folders for Beehive Girls and Giantesses. Most else of what I've faved has nothing to do with either of those, so that should help too. Of beehive girls, all that's left are the original Beehive Brigade pic, Chiharu alone, one of the Lucky Star pics, and one of Mai's pics that devilraindethz had drawn for me. Of giantesses, all that's left is Mondo & Rokuna's BIG Date and the relevant pic of Rokuna herself. (The other three fanservice pics that I've been hosting myself up until recently are all currently in storage.) That just leaves me with the question of what to host as BeehiveMoon, so that it looks active and unrelated to DMXrated.
