Sep. 10th, 2012 07:09 amBefore typing yesterday's entry (which was at dusk, btw), I went onto Cinemassacre to watch one of the Angry Video Game Nerd's back videos (guess which one?), and found out in his blog that he finally put out a new one for the first time since last December.

After typing up the entry, I walked some laps up and down Long Island Avenue. (There was something I noticed on Masem Court earlier on, which I didn't want to risk stepping in.) It was only a few laps in before Mrs. Lupfer greeted me from on her deck. I walked up to her to say hi and chat for a bit. She also showed me her new dog, named Murphy, who was on the deck with her, and also told me about her aunt, who is 89 years old and in a nursing home. I told her about Grandpa Bob having had to stay with us a few months ago, after having broken his hip and spending some time at a home. Then, one by one, Daniel's son Brooks (a year and a half right now) came out, followed by Daniel himself, and then his new wife Alice. We chatted for a bit, and he told me about how busy his life is nowadays, what with school, work, and raising Brooks. I told him that I still have yet to find work, but have actually been focusing on studying kanji, as well as playing video games and watching anime, and that I know how it must be for him, having already been in college myself (although I must have actually had it easier than him; I've already decided ages ago that I will not ever be involved in raising kids, exactly for that reason).
The three of them started getting ready to leave for their aunt afterwards, and I said bye to everyone before going back home.
