Had a snowblower delivered to us two days ago.

-----

As of yesterday, Marie came home to visit, I started playing Mega Man 4 (still waiting to hear back about Angry Birds), and I also started reading the first few volumes of Nintendo Power from a bunch that Mom brought home the other night.

About that last one, even though NP is still hardly providing any of the tips it used to be known for, it is good that it's not spending nearly so many pages advertising as it had 5-12 years ago (half of which was not even game-related). Also, Player's Pulse is now just Pulse, and while the section itself is much shorter, the letters showcased are quite longer than they used to be. That ought to give me some leeway to talk more in depth about my past experiences with the magazine than I would have more than ten years ago.

That section in volume 270, about games for the Super NES, was also particularly interesting. Though, while it shouldn't surprise anyone that those pages didn't mention any of the crap games like Bebe's Kids, The Wizard of Oz, Batman Forever, Death & Return of Superman, etc., considering how many good games they devoted a screenshot and a paragraph to, I'm surprised that certain particularly popular or otherwise good ones weren't mentioned either, such as Doom or Zombies Ate My Neighbors.
