Mar. 9th, 2013 05:35 amWent to this day program at Community Enterprises for the first time yesterday. It was game day, and we played Monopoly the whole time. I kicked ass for most of the time, buying houses and hotels for property I owned, and managed to drive two other players out of the game. It was all so exciting that I called Mom to come pick me up only ten minutes before my designated return trip home and told the busdriver to just leave without me.
Upon returning to the game, several people debated whether declining on a ride was allowable, but as it turns out, SCAT has a policy against that. Someone, having told the busdriver to come back, brought me back to the entrance, and I said bye to everyone. She was expecting the bus to come back, but it only circled a nearby building several times before presumably leaving anyway.
Already out of the game, I waited in the lobby for Mom to come pick me up, and also realized that I should have just accepted the ride anyway, given how far out of his way the driver went to come get me.
Mom brought me down to Patchogue upon picking me up, and had me buy her a gallon of milk at the gas station with both some leftover quarters from several weeks ago and the money that I would've otherwise spent for the ride home, while she drove to the shop to feed the cats.
Considering how things played out, we agreed that from now on, Mom can pick me up on Fridays, in case I'm in the middle of any ongoing games. Next week will have to be a round trip, though, due to a doctor's appointment she says she has that afternoon.
