Jul. 4th, 2013 08:06 amWalked up some nearby hill with Rob yesterday morning. Got a nice workout from it, but I think I'd rather stick with Nautilus Drive when I'm going for walks.

Yesterday afternoon, Adam was playing Call of Duty: Black Ops II online. I was out having a walk, and when I came back, I walked in and heard him telling his friends that I was "bein' an asshole" and bugging him to let me play my own game. I told him that he could keep playing, but in fact, the truth was that he had to sort out his clothes for his and Rob's trip to Florida (something which he had been blowing off repeatedly), and he didn't want to hurt his friends' feelings by simply saying that he had to get off.
Spoke to Rob about it, but he said that that's just the approach he chooses to deal with things. I told him that, usually, when I have to sign off of AIM, I just tell whoever I'm speaking to that I'm signing off, and they understand. Normally, I don't respect anyone who makes up excuses like that (if they aren't true), unless it really is necessary, but then again, I'm 27 years old and most of my friends are around that age, while Adam has only just graduated from junior high. Still, it's not like all his friends are likely allowed to sit in front of a computer for 24 hours each day, so they should understand and respect when someone needs or even chooses to log off.
Rob took me and Adam to this Mexican restaurant called Bob's Garage after Adam was done sorting out his clothes. I had a chicken enchilada. Also went shopping for swimshorts and sandals for Adam. Got home at around 7, and I had a bowl of ice cream before just going to bed.

Rob and Adam have already left, and will be back Saturday next week.
