Jul. 22nd, 2013 07:29 amTranslated the manual for Kira tto Kaiketsu the other day after all, after failing to hook my laptop's Internet to my new computer and being unable to watch Avatar: The Last Airbender due to disk rot. Dream Eater Merry didn't really hold my interest, but I'll keep it just a bit longer in case I decide to watch more of it. Found myself playing KtK again and again for the past few days after figuring out what I needed to.
Normally, each round goes on for several hours. Just now, though, I played a round of the scavenger hunt, and it didn't even last two full game-days. Tomo*, the one able to search around more at a time than everyone else, got all three things specified for the game, and I managed only to stall her with a laser gun (causes everyone in the same room as you to miss two turns). Stole a pair of grip boots (lets you choose how many spaces you move for one turn), so that she wouldn't take the win right there, and used them the next turn to walk up to her and fight her, hoping to stall her again and take one of her items. She KO'ed me, and then won right afterwards, with a total score of 999 points. Only three rooms were explored by anyone, even though there were a lot more of them.
(*Given how little content there is about this game and how few copies circulate online, I might as well just specify who's who: Kenta is the one wearing the baseball cap, Tomo is the green-haired scaredy-cat meganekko, Jett (literally spelt γΈγ§γγ) is the one wearing blue, Ryoko is the redhead, and the robot guy is called Robopi. If you ask me, Tomo just so happens to be the cutest character in the game, despite sharing the same name with a certain Jerkass Genki Girl.)
As of right now, I am far from bored with the game yet (and it sure is a lot more relaxing than Getter Love!!). I will make a point today of writing that Pokemon battle out that I promised Jake, but Cult can wait until I decide I've had enough with the game. Getting the Internet onto my new PC from my laptop, in order to download DirectX onto it for sound, can wait until Brian comes home to help us with that; if the possibility of finally getting a full experience with Angry Birds is there too early, it will just be another distraction for me from writing.
