Didn't play Mega Man 8 at all yesterday. It was just a rather busy day for until past noon, starting with that walk down Long Island Avenue.

Yesterday morning, I proposed to Mom a trip to the Smithhaven Mall, so that I could look at some anime. Marie came with us so that she could buy some screws for her phone.

First stop there was Barnes & Noble, in order to pick up several birthday cards for Cousin Adam (even though his birthday had already passed in May). We split up afterwards, and I went to FYE to see what would be there.

Made a list of anime that I might be interested in, but by the time we finished, Mom and Marie were standing right by me waiting for me to finish so that we could eat lunch and leave. A lot of what was there, if not most, was also overpriced, costing up to $60 apiece.

Had some shrimp tempura and California sushi rolls. The sushi was okay, but I didn't really care for the tempura. Also came with a packet each of soy sauce, ginger, and wasabi, all of which Mom and Marie urged me to try on it when I was down to two rolls left. Never really cared for soy sauce to begin with, the ginger was okay, but the wasabi really burned my whole mouth.

After we finished eating, Mom and Marie were just anxious to leave that I barely had time to pick up a Powerball ticket*, let alone actually re-look at any anime and choose something to buy. Truth be told, though, the actual reason why I even wanted to come there had been a moot point before we even left home. For a whole year now, the only anime that I had any real interest in has been Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and even now, I don't particularly feel like going out of my way to watch anything other than Avatar: The Last Airbender.

(*Yes, I've decided to continue with the lottery, based on a $5 weekly allowance that Mom and I agreed upon, after my breakdown involving Mother: The Original Story. My strategy nowadays is different from what it was before, though.)

We came back home, and I had myself a good nap while Mom and Marie went shopping for groceries. Afterwards, I walked laps up and down Masem Court while thinking about stuff, coming back inside every now and then to check my messages and keep up with several debates (one of which was my own) going on in TV Tropes' Complete Monster Subpages Cleanup thread.

For her birthday this year, Marie asked Mom to bake a chocolate pudding pie for dessert. We had some of that, and Mom also got her this show on DVD called Human Planet. We all watched the episode about people living in different jungles around the world (including some in Brazil).
