Bunny-slippers
Aug. 19th, 2013 06:20 amMabel caught two baby bunny rabbits within more or less the same hour yesterday.
I was in my room when I heard Mom shouting at her not to go inside the house with the first one, and by the time I asked from through my window, she had already gone inside and dropped it in the dining room. Its ear twitched, indicating that it was still barely alive, and I brought Mabel into my room while Mom wrapped it inside a bathmat and brought it out to some myrtle plants way out near the fence.
We caught her with the second one in the same spot, near the stairs leading to the basement (just below my room), and she dropped that bunny before hiding under this Japanese maple tree nearby. This one actually got away, but I failed to see where it actually went, since I was trying to keep Mabel from reclaiming it.
Mom told me that she thought Mabel might've found a rabbit's nest somewhere, and told me to keep an eye on where she was going if I see her outside.
