Writing this early to fill some time in right now, and because I need to get focused on Parasitic Trio tomorrow morning.

As of this morning, I have already recorded Makeruna! Makendou Z to the point where I planned on. I have everything after Honmayaner already recorded on the tape I was using during my first playthrough in 2009.

Unfortunately, Jake is still unable to ghostwrite Starbound. However, he was able to settle for just me sending him a summary of each scene for what I've got written so far. For me, this negates any need for him to even ghostwrite it (and it's a good thing he's only done five pages thus far). He, however, says that he still needs money, but with only three chapters written of Parasitic Trio, I will have no shortage of other work for him to do. Not to mention that, while I will be writing another chapter to it, I'll still have a bunch of MMZ clips to upload for him to translate the best he can, and in fact, I would prefer we get that all out of the way as soon as possible before we talk about starting his version of SMW2: Yoshi's Island rewritten.

Furthermore, let me be honest about one thing: I very much would prefer to keep most of my stories written only by myself, in my own writing style. Parasitic Trio is an exception, because for what I want of that, even I deem my own ability unsatisfactory. True, too, that half of Mondo & Rokuna's BIG Date wasn't written by me, but by Chelle. However, I would prefer to keep whatever fiction I write consistent with what I write on this blog, on fora, or in personal communications with others. Admittedly, this might be my ego talking, but I tend to compare the concept to how James "The Angry Video Game Nerd" Rolfe is the same person whether he's acting in any of his web video series, posting entries on his blog, hosting real-life videos, or writing on Facebook or Twitter, or the relation between Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins whether writing to the Penny Arcade weblog or represented by Jonathan "Gabe" Gabriel and Tycho Brahe respectively in PA itself.

The only reason I proposed he ghostwrite the fic in the first place, was because he was having a hard time reading it as it is, not least of all because of my subpar writing style compared to his own. I'm much more patient with him regarding Parasitic Trio, but mainly because the general plot is already laid out for me, and all I have to do is fill in the variables and write around them. With this, I'm halfway through the third chapter, and not to make him or anyone feel guilty, but I really just want to carry on with it as soon as possible. Only thing is, unlike PT, that can't happen until he and I decide where to go with the rest of the chapter and the next one once I have that one done. The reason I'm even depending on him is because he has a much better grasp than me or Chelle on how to capture the essence of the Earthbound trilogy, which is half of what inspired the fic in the first place due mainly to nostalgia.

Since Parasitic Trio will require some level of focus, now is also the time for me to finally give Candy Crush Saga a rest once and for all. So far, I have made it to level 197, but that game is making me obsessive-compulsive. It was good to have to alternate between Rockman & Forte and Makeruna! Makendou Z, and had given me the same kind of thrill that I remember deriving from Angry Birds. Starting tonight, though, whenever I need a break from writing the chapter, I'll probably re-read a chapter or so from Lucky Star.

Next time I want something simple and addictive as Angry Birds or Candy Crush, I'll most likely come back to Facebook and count out all its puzzle and arcade games, before deciding with either dice or RandomInteger.org what to play next.
