Nov. 4th, 2013 05:34 amBeen helping Dad build a new path to Bobby's apartment these past several days. Digging up the bricks comprising the old one was easy enough. Yesterday, though, I spent most of the day washing and scrubbing half those bricks, in cold, muddy water, for easier reuse. Dad and I called it a day at, I think, only four in the afternoon, but I was so tired that I just went right to having a shower before going to bed, only getting up to eat dinner.
Found this coin in the dirt where we had just dug the path up, and showed Dad. Turns out it used to be worth twenty Belgian francs.

This morning, Mom asked me if I used to have all these foreign coins that I would carry around when I was little. I do remember we had a whole jar full of them; I didn't carry it around with me all the time, but I did take it out quite frequently until a shard chipped off in the middle while I was swishing it around one time.
