Mar. 17th, 2014 06:15 amYesterday was my birthday.
To start with, Mom made pancakes for us to squeeze oranges over. Dad and Brian got up in time for them, but Brian decided to have a shower first. Dad and I were gonna play a joke on Brian by keeping most of the bacon that Mom made for on the side on our own plates, and then giving him some when he came to eat. Unfortunately, he had still been in the shower after I had around five pancakes, so I simply proceeded to eat all my bacon, leaving Dad to share some of his with Brian. Joke failed.
Brian drove me to Stonybrook to meet with Yoko at around 8:30. Managed to finish all remaining of volume 9 of the Lucky Star manga. Should be able to look at what I bookmarked in 10 next week, and then planning to take care of Makeruna! Makendou Z once and for all.
After my session ended, Brian drove to this bakery near the ferry station in Port Jefferson. He had a voucher for a cake and $30 worth of other stuff, so I picked out a white ganache cake and a pound each of petifores and lace cookies.
We came home, and I didn't bother having lunch since I ate more than I usually eat for breakfast. Mom and Dad weren't home at first, but when the did come home, they noticed the stuff I had Brian buy at the bakery. I noticed Dad having a few cookies, but Mom let me have a few myself, since it was my birthday.
At that point, I was too overloaded on sugar to do any writing, so I simply read some of what I previously skipped of I Was Kagami Hiiragi.
Mom finished making dinner rather late last night, at around 7:00 (normally the time I start getting ready for bed). When I asked later, none of us seemed that hungry, and she also thought I was chatting with Jake (which I did briefly while reading that fic), so she and Dad decided to watch an episode of Boardwalk Empire, and then she just wanted to finish it up (I even overheard her mentioning that it was the second season finale). I remarked that I've just been in a similar situation, in that I started writing a certain scene for Starbound just to pass time while Brian still had Lauren over, and now I just want to finish up before finally getting started with him on learning how to program.
