As of right now, my muse for Starbound has run dry. I have gotten a page into it do know what's going to happen for its fifth chapter, but that's only the horse, with the cart being the ability to actually see it through naturally. At a time like this, forcing myself to write anything down, chronologically or otherwise, is not gonna gain me the same feeling I got when I was writing chapter 3. (And no, this has nothing to do with Chelle, or with Brian, whom I've had a bunch of questions for before he even came home but had to wait until he'd be ready.)

Set my Wii up, and downloaded Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Paper Mario, and Mega Man 10. As it turns out, though, NES games aren't compatible with GameCube controllers; I need a Wii Classic controller for those. Bought two on Ebay for $13.99, and in the meantime, I think I'll work on Parasitic Trio.

Two of the aforementioned questions I've had for Brian had to do with programming languages and the legality of fangames.

Regarding the former, I had realized the previous day that JavaScript is the language used to make the kinds of games you play on a website, as opposed to those you can download and then play independently of the Internet. According to it's site's FAQ, Mother 4 is being written in C++, so I asked Brian about that. He said that that language is a lot more complicated than JS, and that while he could teach me how to program with it despite not using it himself, he can't guarantee I'll actually be able to make a game of it. From that, I figured out that the best approach might be to write the whole game in JS, and then commission someone to convert it into an application.

Mom told me yesterday that one of her co-workers has an autistic son who uploads videos to YouTube as PrettyMuchIt.
