Long story short, I have just been trying these past several days to report bloodscorpion4ever for supposedly MA-rated content in his M-rated story, mainly to get back at him for continuing to ignore me when I left a review asking a question about his antagonists (without actually asking for spoilers). First report was sent two nights ago, after Chelle encouraged me to send it (she wondered why I didn't do so beforehand); second was this morning, and I also reported three other fics for different abuses and contacted two administrators directly to ask whether the content in question would, in fact, warrant an MA.

Not something I'd do with Jake, Chelle, or anyone else I'm still good friends with in general. This is different, because it's already clear that my friendship with that guy is already down the shitter, as it had become with nanashi-no three years ago*. I have no more intention to read any more of his shit aside from the antagonists' deaths and whatever becomes of Kai (if the fic even survives that long), nor do I wish to make another one-sided attempt to reconcile with him.

(*Having found someone to help me reconcile with nanashi-no was nothing short of a miracle, and only took place while I was seeking places on DeviantArt to let everyone know how blatantly she had slighted me.)

Anyway, I thought until shortly after having sent the first report, that the story would have been deleted by the following morning, and he would know based on timing that I was behind it. Chelle told me afterwards that I might have underestimated the time it will probably take for a moderator to act upon it (if anyone ever does, or even reads it). On the one hand, the mods seemed pretty on top of things on at least four occasions back in 2004 (both my first account and that of a blatant troll were deleted only a day after our respective offenses), and searching Google about how long I should expect to wait does crop up the great MA purge of two years ago. On the other hand, said searches also reveal that there are a great deal of plagiarized stories on the site, of only which a handful receive any actual attention.

The site's support page does say to be as detailed as possible when filing a report. This implies the possibility that my own two reports were insufficient, since I only described the content as "graphic depictions of torture and rape" and do not wish to actually read them in depth myself. John declined today to read any of it for me, and it's pretty obvious that Jake and Chelle won't either.

Well, at least the existence of the Report Abuse feature and a certain rule that Blood's breaking is better than nothing. If the story is still there months from now and complete, I'll be sure to read the aforementioned parts that I'm still interested in. Other than that, just gotta move on at this point.
