Nov. 2nd, 2014 05:16 amMom drove me to Kinokuniya yesterday, the same bookstore in New York City we went to three years ago.
Before we got there, we stopped at this place called George's Diner at around 10:40, so that I wouldn't be hungry while looking around. Turned out they were still serving breakfast there, and I did find it rather odd to be eating breakfast food for lunch, but Mom did say that we normally don't eat anything other than cereal. Decided to order some pancakes and ham.
Drove the rest of the way to the store, and Mom had somewhere else to go while I looked around. Found this Lucky Star book that I previously saw on the website, exactly one of those books I wanted to get there. Looked through it, and decided to buy it once Mom came back to get me.
-----
My idea--or rather, Mom's idea--to go there stems from this other book that I discovered on the forum. I asked for that one when Mom asked me if there was anything I'd like for Christmas, and shortly after, she showed me the Kinokuniya website.
While having looked around there, I also noticed some other books that I would have also bought if I had found them. Not gonna make a big fuss over getting every last book out there, although I might buy some of the cheaper ones at some point.
