Mar. 17th, 2015 07:36 amI just realized yesterday, that the administrators I PM'ed last summer about Crap Unread, along with a handful more just yesterday, were not any of those for Fanfiction.net itself, only for in-site fora that they created as regular members. I found them by Googling "fanfiction.net administrators", and assumed they actually maintained the site itself. Partly, because while regular forum members are marked with various symbols indicating how long ago they registered an account, moderators and admins of a given forum are marked with a red or golden crown respectively to indicate their position on that particular forum.
From there, I asked on Yahoo Answers and this forum I recently joined called Literate Union, if a list of ff.net mods and admins even does exist, and I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't.
Really, though, this shouldn't even matter, because I've already pissed him off once for having jumped down my throat for some stuff I said and ignoring me afterwards. To be fair, what likely got to him in particular was me spelling out the timeline between certain episodes (which even Chelle agreed was somewhat condescending) and some other points that failed to make sense. The response he gave me left a bad taste in my mouth, but what really got to me was that he ignored my attempt to smooth things over with him (after I gave him two days to cool off), and then another question later on, in which I claimed I wasn't looking for spoilers. Thinks he's so high and mighty, we'd see about that once he found his story gone.
And, nothing happened even after I sent an abuse report for certain rape chapters. ( Read more... )
In any case, the options Blood gave me when he snapped were to either read his shit and find out what happens, or don't. Obviously, that would disincline anyone to read stuff that this person took the time and effort to write. Simply deciding not to read his story wouldn't have sufficed, though, but the choice he presented did not include "or troll me." And, the response he gave to Stage One: Thwarted the day after he last updated his own story obviously means that he did mind, but since the site's mods didn't care to remove his obviously infringing story in the first place, there's nothing he can do about it beyond blocking me.
Fortunately, he only blocked my secondary account, since that's the one I wrote SOT onto and led him to it with. He never blocked my primary account, and that was a good thing, because the next time I looked at my review history, I saw the question I asked him, regarding how his antagonists operate, and its lack of an answer thereto still left me feeling like shit, like I don't matter. Only way to do justice to that, was to leave one last review, under that account, to really end things on a bang.
Really, reporting that story several times even after writing SOT was just something I did on the sidelines, and that forum I joined was something I discovered by chance through some random Googling. I still hope that story gets removed at some point, but mainly to piss Blood off one last time and show him who really has power here.
