May. 3rd, 2015 07:43 amDad watched part of The Blues Brothers, an all-time favorite movie of his, for just the first time on Netflix just yesterday afternoon. One of our favorite scenes from that movie happens to be when Jake and Elwood visit the nun and manage to piss her off. (The other one is where they flee the cops by driving through a shopping mall and wrecking the whole place.)
I told him and Mom about this Cracked article that mentions how outdated it is in real life for nuns to actually wear habits even inside churches, and showed it to them not long afterwards.

They did tell me after reading it that this whole gimmick is something producers utilize to identify nuns as such. I should mention that the Rule of Perception is something I've already been aware of.
