May. 26th, 2015 06:26 amSo, it turns out that Puella Magi Oriko Magica: Extra Story had been released here a whole month after I bought all the main volumes of Oriko and Kazumi Magica, and volumes 1 and 2 of Suzune Magica are scheduled for September and December respectively. I brought up the idea with [censored] of me pre-ordering them on Amazon to be delivered to her, so that we wouldn't have to count on any online scans to crop up during the fic's run that I've commissioned her for.
What brought this on, was that Madoka is planned to flee Mitakihara late in the fic, and I suggested she go to either Asunaro (Kazumi Magica) or Hoozuki (Suzune Magica) and meet some of the girls living there. She went with the former, citing how interesting she found Kazumi Magica to be while reading that, and I figured that simply writing about a given work* isn't enough to make them interested in its characters; that can only be done by providing the actual work in question. (I had linked her to scans of Oriko and Kazumi's main stories upon bringing the project up early this month, but there are still no scans of anything else.)
(*What I wrote, was an analysis of all Magical Girls in the Madoka franchise besides the main five, and anything to be considered should any of them make some kind of appearance during the story. I did say that I won't expect her to utilize every single one of them, especially if they have no practical use even as a cameo or red-shirt.)
In any case, [censored] asked me not to spend money on her, so now I'm thinking of requesting those (along with both volumes of Tart Magica) for Christmas if I'm still interested at that point. Will see where things stand then.

By the way, I do acknowledge that Suzune and Tart Magica are not going to be the last installments of the franchise. There are gonna be more for at least years to come, but I have recently commissioned kymyit for a pic of Madoka to promote the fic with. If that becomes the start of a full-fledged series of pics pertaining to it, then it will include Cibus* versions of characters who have next to no chance of appearing, such as Remi Shiina (a long-deceased backstory character in Kazumi) and everyone in Tart Magica (which is about the role of Jeanne D'Arc).
(*Cibi, Latin for "food", are what Magical Girls in the fic will be known as instead of Puellae Magi. What we're dealing with is a version of the Madokaverse where the monsters that Magical Girls fight are flesh-eating eldritch abominations known as Esuriantes, and said girls become fat upon making their contract in order to become a more wholesome meal for one somewhere down the line than at their default build.)
