Jun. 29th, 2015 07:09 amMom treated me to breakfast yesterday at this restaurant called Cook Room. Originally, she had suggested that I treat her and Dad to this other place called Jimmy's Eats for Father's Day, but we were gonna wait until yesterday when Marie would supposedly come home. Marie ended up not coming home due to rain and work, so we decided to wait until she actually does, so that we can also tie it in with her coming birthday.
Along the way there, Mom asked me what I did while she was away the previous day. I told her about having downloaded that game after getting all my chores done, and she commented on its distinct type of audio (something she also commented on when I played Mega Man a few years ago). I told her that it's one of those old 8-bit games for the NES, and during our time in the diner, she asked if that's what we used to own. I told her that we had a Super NES (which we still do, even though I already sold most of my games for it).
( Side-note )
Anyway, Mom ordered this bacon-egg-and-cheese sandwich, and I ordered a stack of three banana chocolate chip pancakes, a hamsteak, and a buttered roll. Those pancakes were a lot bigger than what I got at other places, and I just barely managed to eat one of them and my two side-orders. We ended up boxing the other two and half of Mom's sandwich before leaving.
