Jul. 30th, 2015 07:26 amFinished posting everything I currently have of I Was Kagami Hiiragi yesterday, and contacted Trevor Noffsinger (pricykoopa) to see if he ever copied any subsequent chapters from an app he had them stored on.
Having read every detail of what went on, I honestly don't know why the kinds of stuff that Yuka Miyakawa pulls bothers me any less than Satoshi and his cohorts' actions in Crap Unread did a year ago. The last few chapters that Blood never got to host are summarized within this forum thread, which describe some terrible things that she pulls off in addition to what she's done already, and what her ultimate fate would have been that we never actually got to see play out (both like with CU's flash-forward chapters). Even whether or not CU would have focused mainly on Lucky Star's main four or treated other characters equivalently wasn't the only issue I had with that fic.
Unlike the yakuza boys, though, everything Yuka does actually makes sense. ( Not for the faint of heart! )
Stage One: Thwarted is the fic that helped me deny what had gone on in Crap Unread, although the shock that the latter fic left me in isn't a direct reason why I wrote the former. The sheer stupidity of its antagonists' plans also helped me not to take them as seriously as I did before learning from redlerred7 how much better off they'd be if they had involved the protagonists minimally and had the common sense who to get what info they need from. IWKH antagonists Yuka Miyakawa and Ryuji Katsumoto both play their cards much better than those boys in CU did, and the fic itself is much more believable in general, so I don't have either of those mechanisms. And yet, I'm not bothered nearly so much as I was a year ago.
Anyway, that takes care of that for now, and I'm gonna have a break from Blood's works to read some other Lucky Star fics up there. Was thinking of hosting Cibus Esculentus Madoka Magica after all, once I get Chelle to critique that, mainly to divert some of my attention away from Lucky Star (hoping that will make me more interested in other people's Madoka fics). A certain issue has come up regarding Esurientes, though, and I might or might not have to wait until the new manga installment Wraith Arc is fully published and translated to derive certain ideas from (assuming neither of us come up with anything first).
