Got started with Patricia's sprites yesterday, and managed to design the hair just right. In general, though, I've just barely been able to focus on the project.
For one thing, it's been extremely hot these days, too hot for me to think properly should I bother taking a walk down Masem Court specifically to refresh my mind.
Another part of it has to do with my diet. For these past few days, I've been having some leftover pasta for lunch. Barely any meat in it, meaning a lot more carbohydrates than protein, which makes me tired afterwards (not helped by having something sugary both to drink with it and as a snack, and maybe a piece of fruit along the way). I also tend to eat cereal for breakfast each morning, but today, I've just had some French toast (for which Mom made the batter to dip it in, consisting of two eggs and just a little bit of milk).
So, least I've just managed to fix that up today.
And then there's how lonely and bored I tend to get when I'm only dealing with Lucky Star (hence why I looked at that Madoka fic). That is where having something on Facebook to play on the sidelines would come in, but right now, I'm not sure if even that's gonna help right now, since it's still too hot for me to bother taking a walk.
If anything, I'm actually considering playing Dragon Warrior III right now, rather than wasting time with it later when it's cooler. Playing II was what inspired me to work on some game documents when I lacked the energy to do so beforehand, even though writing stuff down is a lot more fun than building up character sprites one pixel at a time.
Finally, Jake has suggested after reading my past few entries, that I find someone who does pixel art and can critique my spritesheets. Emailed Brian the convo in question and some links to said entries, and if he doesn't get back to me before coming home, I'll bring the issue up with him (along with everything else I'm planning on) so that I know how to actually phrase things somewhere like Starmen.net or Earthbound Central.
