Sep. 13th, 2015 07:15 amPut my Xbox up on Ebay yesterday, after finding those two games I got with it just the other day. I thought this whole time that Brian had them, and started to ask him weeks ago to keep an eye out for them, but it turns out they were actually mingled with some DVDs under our main TV set. I only spotted them after Mom put all of them on top of my dresser, after we started moving stuff around.

Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to use PayPal one more time if it actually sells. Until posting it, I assumed I'd be able to set my own payment options, especially since I didn't even have a PayPal account when I listed my first auctions back in 2005 (for which people payed mostly in checks).
Well, Ebay technically does support Autism Speaks right now, but only through sellers whom it promotes in exchange for part of their profits. As it stands, though, this will be the last time I buy or sell anything on Ebay. I've already turned to Amazon to buy stuff from, and anything I ever want to get rid of will go either there (not sure why I haven't tried selling stuff there) or to Savers. (If this fails to sell, I might just bring it to Savers, since Mom picked up a box that the console fits perfectly into, still has room for everything else, and is only gonna take up space should I sell everything individually on Amazon.)
Not gonna deactivate my Ebay account, due to feedback that might be useful should I come back in the future, but PayPal still has until around December 4 before I close my account there. Those three companies I mentioned the other day are just the latest of many to abandon Autism Speaks. I can tell, because Boycott Autism Speaks has a list that is clearly not up-to-date with AS's affiliates page. (BAS, in fact, might just be defunct. I did send it a message to update it, and no one ever did so or got back to me.)
In the meantime, this might be a good week to cash in all the recycling in my shed. Mom had left a pile of change she found somewhere in my room two nights ago, and now I'm two quarters and 22 pennies in excess of my current rolls while still needing more nickels and dimes for their respective rolls. If the auction succeeds, I'll be sure to bring my rolled pennies with me to the post office. (Probably won't need quarters, since I've still got those two loose rolls for them and a ton of recycling bound for King Kullen.) If it fails, I'll take enough change from the jar downstairs to fill the remaining rolls, and then cash it all in (along with $42 in my wallet) at the bank.
