Bought a copy of Cool Spot for my Super NES yesterday. Brian mentioned during my time in Boston that he's been interested in playing that game ever since we once saw Joel playing it on his Genesis. Didn't bother downloading a ROM copy, because I would like to avoid risking viruses as much as possible, and it's not like I buy that many old games for myself anyway (which don't even cost that much each). Plus, I won't even have to show him which keys pertain to which buttons, and he might be able to take the game itself back with him in case he's able to obtain another SNES later.

Would have more likely downloaded a ROM if the SNES turned out to have died again since its repair six years ago. On the same token, though, I would have downloaded it onto my Wii instead if it was ever re-released for the Virtual Console.

Mom and Dad have both been sick for most of yesterday, and still are as of this morning. Mom, however, did feel well enough yesterday afternoon to do some shopping at Stop & Shop and Savers. She asked me to come with her to help her in the former store, and also to get rid of my recycling as long as we were there, since we only had one free recycling can left after I claimed a bag from Bobby's deck the previous day.

Before we left, I counted everything I had, which came out to be 83 cans ($4.15), 18 plastic bottles ($0.90), and a measly three glass bottles ($0.15). Ideally, I would have waited for one more bag of Bobby's stuff to reach the $6.00 quota, but I went along with Mom anyway and brought just my cans.

At this point, I'm wondering if I should continue stockpiling my recycling back in my shed instead if in our recycling cans. This is mainly about trying to be eco-friendly by not obtaining more receipts than I need when I can combine them every other visit or so, since the paper that the machines use, which we all know comes from destroying trees, does need to be replaced every now and then. Will need to talk to Mom about that whenever it seems feasible, though.
