Showed Brian my compiled b-shots and Cool Spot yesterday morning. He said I did good with the former, and with the latter, he played the first regular level, and then let me play the bonus level (I had played two rounds while waiting for him prior; lost at levels 4 and 5 respectively). He suggested we play just one more level before he go do stuff, but I instead proposed showing him some compiled commercials in which the Spots act nothing like in the game.

I then went on to show him my entry from Wednesday afternoon, and he agreed upon the name, as well as also checking out the hyperlinked entry about Tommy and Erick.

About an hour later, I joined him, Marie, and Dad while they watched some YouTube videos on TV, while Mom gave us some BLTs and popsicles. Soon as we all got up, I told him, just in case he remembered what a certain other game was but not by name, that that was Rocket Knight Adventures. I described it as a mouse creature fighting pigs who ride war machines, but he didn't remember. Showed him some footage, along with The Hyperstone Heist and Global Gladiators (the latter from during a different visit that he might've been absent from); didn't ring a bell with him, and while he did claim to remember the Turtles game, he might've been thinking of Turtles in Time (something Craig used to own), even though the only sewer level in that game has you surfing (you're on foot during both sewer sections of the first level here). Somehow, he did remember Sonic Spinball, which I specified belonged to Steven Moretti, and it wasn't much later that I commented that his memory might be a bit selective.

It later occurred to me during a ride to the beach, that I myself had remembered Brian renting Strike Gunner S.T.G. once in '97 as late as 2008 (something he had forgotten about by that point), while taking another four years to remember The Simpsons: Bart's Nightmare, which he rented just the weekend earlier. I mentioned that to Brian, and then Dad went on about some science program that was run in Scotland where they tested people for how well they could remember faces and had teams of people catch a subway groper by that kind of recognition.

(Having watched a longplay of Strike Gunner on YouTube last night, what a coincidence that I happened to bring it up on the very year it's set in.)

Brian and Marie have to leave in an hour. Still waiting for others to get back to me, including Alice about the Cibus project. Certain things have happened these past few days with Jake, and he is unable to do any ghostwriting right now, but here's hoping Alice gets back to me by the time I finally finish May's third Parasitic Trio chapter (assuming I even end up continuing with that).
