Sep. 16th, 2016 05:35 amThe other day, I received a card from Toyota that involves pulling tabs to see if both tabs in any pair matches. Supposedly won a 64" 4K TV, but Dad drove me up to a dealership in Middle Island to redeem my card. The person who spoke to us said that we have to register my number to see what I actually win, Dad pointed out the list of prizes next to the list of winning combinations, and the person we spoke to said that that was just the list of prizes. Dad then decided to bring me and leave the place, lest we get caught up in a sales pitch that we're not interested in.
Should've been obvious that no company would mail out match cards with any chance of losing, since what they really want is to lure people in to sell stuff to. Next time I get something like that, I'm just throwing it away.
(By the way, Toyota supports Autism Speaks. Don't do business with anyone there if you're reading this.)

Brian is currently on a visit to Grandma Barbara's, and chatted alongside her with Mom yesterday afternoon. I spoke to him for a bit, and from what I gather, he's managed to land a job at Google, and is also due to come home for a bit within the next few days. I filled him in on what I'm doing right now, but forgot to mention having finished that book; will have to bring that up when he's home.
