Oct. 17th, 2016 04:55 amYesterday, Mom brought me to Stop & Shop, I went to deposit some recycling, and I noticed a mother with two little boys, whose cart contained one of these little wooden trains I used to have, with a magnet to connect to the car behind it. (They're by Brio, in case anyone's curious to Google.) One of the kids tried to reach through the frame, and I reached down to retrieve it for him while waiting for someone else to finish with their plastic bottles. The other boy took it from him, and he tried to pry it back away, which led to him following him out of the room and the mother to pursue them. I deposited some of her bottles for her so that the machine wouldn't assume she's done and print up the ticket early, and then told her about my own train toys when they came back.
-----
Bought myself a Take 5 some time after finishing (slipped my mind at first to redeem my vouchers), and as of this morning, both numbers on the very ends (1 and 38) matched, netting me a nice little free-play.
Today, Mom and I have plans for a haircut, from which I can hop over to the gas station to redeem the ticket, but the point of playing only one game each visit somewhere is to keep control over my money and impulses, so I suppose I might buy myself a 7-spot QuickDraw as well while I'm down there.
