Dec. 10th, 2016 05:52 amWe're in Virginia now. Made it the whole ride here without playing Sonic Advance 2 (slept half the time, mind full the other half, only got bored about an hour before we reached the house), so that'll be more to do on the way home, along with re-reading both volumes I have of Puella Magi Tart Magica.
Early on, we stopped at a Starbucks, Mom let me order a frappuccino while she ordered regular coffees for herself and Dad, and that (along with some hot chocolate I ordered at the diner later on) made me tired half the time and put me in a funny mood the other half.
Later, we stopped at a nautical store where Mom bought some conch shells. Inside the store, I saw something called a Redneck weather rope, with the following list on a wood plate:
Wet: Rain
Hot: Sunny
Cool: Cloudy
Stiff: Cold
White: Snow
Gone: Take shelter!
Soon as we made it to the house, the first thing I did (besides picking Twinkle up against her will) was greet Scraps with a cheek-to-belly hug, and Grandma Barbara said she hopes that isn't a foreboding of my behavior here. I then suggested she get a bunnyrabbit at some point, but whlie she has enough pets to take care of already, she did say that one of her friends from the Brits Club owns some.
Had a shower and a nap, and then joined everyone else while they watched someone stunt-biking around on YouTube. Soon enough, they all got up and left, Uncle Ray handed me the remote, and I started looking around for some anime to load on Netflix for a joke while several others where right next room in Aunt Marie's kitchen. Found Puella Magi Madoka Magica, but only got to check the audio settings by the time Dad came in and asked me not to put it on.
Went into Grandma's room intending to give Brian a call, but wound up first laying my head down on Scraps, who was sleeping on her bed beside her. Grandma felt my head and noticed how damp my hair still was while trying to feel how heavy my skull was on the cat.
Came back to the TV room later while Dad and someone else (don't remember who) were chatting, even though Mom at one point came inside and asked me not to put anything on that's gonna piss Dad off. (I didn't actually intend to load anything that time.) David asked me what kinds of anime I'm into, asking if any of them included Naruto, Fairy Tail, One Piece, or Yu Yu Hakusho. I told him I'm more into moe, and he said he mostly likes "defining" anime, to which I suggested Lucky Star and Puella Magi Madoka Magica, given how prominent both those series are.
For dinner, Uncle Ray made all of us breakfast for dinner. While we ate, I asked if anyone likes Monty Python, and particularly the animated segments. Mom cited the Monster Cat, and also said that God appeared similarly animated when spoken to at least once by Stephen Colbert. I cited Witches in Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Mom told me she never saw that, and Dad said she probably never will, but I'll be sure to share whatever I find on YouTube with her, Grandma, and David via Facebook.
(That hyperlinked clip, btw, arguably would make for nice material for a Witch's labyrinth.)
