May. 21st, 2017 06:34 amWent out with Brian and Marie yesterday morning to pick up bagels. Along the way there, I explained the themes and subject matter of Popotan to Brian, he seemed all the more interested to watch it, and Marie said she'd be fine with the kind of fanservice I cited it to have.
While we all ate lunch after the three of us got back, Marie showed us some stuff she got from Japan, which included a pop-out card featuring a few sumo wrestlers, a box of wasabi-flavored Kit Kats (a few of which I also had at her apartment last month), and a bag of sucking candy based on this anthropomorphic egg mascot called Gudetama. Marie explained what Gudetama was all about, and we watched some anime shorts of it, which Dad decided not to because he doesn't like anime.
(Later opened that bag of candy, had one for myself, and shared it around with everyone. Despite Gudetama itself being an egg, the candy actually tastes like apricot.)
