We have just dropped Marie off at the train station this afternoon.

The other morning, Dad picked up on some discussion I was having with Mom about my situation with Jake, and explained to me on our way to the gym how detrimental doing business with friends is for a relationship, also citing it as manipulative.
Yesterday, I sent Jake an email that might or might not lead us back into business. So far, he has requested time to formulate a response, but Dad can rest assured that I am not simply throwing his advice out the window. What I actually mean to do, mainly, is to set some criteria: He's still short of a job, I'd like to help him buy stuff for until he gets a new one, but I run on a limited budget and do not want any last-minute requests for online purchases in exchange for more empty promises. (So far, infrequent as it may be, it has only been a year since he asked me to commission for something specifically from meguru-sama, and since he had the money to pay for that but not for his massive letdown upon me only a few months ago, I have reason to assume that what he paid for it was from what remained from his job after having just left two months earlier.)
