May. 1st, 2018 06:39 amFilled up a whole page in my notebook to sum up the gist of things behind Mikami and the Original Ones. He and I ate out at Cafe Gia to discuss things further, and agreed to run a contest to see who can conceive the best idea for Magicant based on just said main points.
Also, I have already lost all momentum with Chantelise, after having put it aside so abruptly to play Mother for a bit. Its case for Game Gourmet isn't looking so good anyway. I did notice on the wiki, this accessory called the Food Charm, which increases the rate at which enemies yield food, but I had managed to clear two worlds of a total of six, and the only food I've seen anything drop (at least that Elise herself eats; some things, like honey, are only good to sell) has been Walnut Bread and one Egg Toast, and the only other foods I've come across otherwise have been a roast chicken and a ham sandwich.
So glad I already decided to keep the Switch for myself this time and mentioned my interest in a different game offhand when we drove Brian to Port Jefferson yesterday afternoon. Was originally considering Persona 4, mainly for passing my actual test involving Game Gourmet, but even though The World Ends With You is still a whole eight months away from release, Persona should be the last thing I indulge in, given how frickin' expensive the player's guide is. Mom was quick to suggest Breath of the Wild, and I thought I'd give that a try for myself starting today while Brian and I discuss that contest on the sidelines.
(Better yet, though, since Marie will be coming over next month, I think I'll actually look into playing the Mario game more in depth. And then, when we go down to see Grandma, I should be more inclined then to play Mother 3 on my Nintendo DS than Disgaea 5 yet again, and the minimal involvement of dice for early in the game should also help me play it on the ride down. Earthbound Zero, Breath of the Wild, Disgaea 5, and Chantelise are all still on my agenda for later, so I should be able to hold myself over for a while longer until I can get The World Ends With You hopefully for Christmas.)
