May. 3rd, 2018 07:16 amTurns out you need the AC adapter that comes with the system in order to play anything on a TV set. Read the player's guide's primer for Breath of the Wild, and while most of the game is fully playable normally, there are in fact parts that require joy-con mode.
Spoke to Brian on Facebook yesterday morning, and he said it might be in his suitcase.
Wasn't able to play anything all day anyway. Had quite some yardwork to do, and it was also pretty hot, so I found myself too tired and hot and bothered to do anything in the afternoon. Today is also gonna be hot, and I've still got the remainder of a pit to fill with sand that Mom and Dad intend to cover in turn with topsoil to plant new grass with, and that's also gonna involve raking leaves off to mow first.
Brian also said that it's gonna be several months before we can run that contest, so if I don't receive that plug by the time I'm all done with stuff, I suppose I might as well re-download Earthbound Zero already.
