May. 8th, 2018 07:09 amGot my plug yesterday, but the envelope that was supposed to contain the joy-con straps had the bottom ripped off and came alongside with only an apology from the postal service. Told Brian not to put parcels of any kind in a normal envelope again, and ordered a new pair on Amazon, and it's a good thing I got the item that really matters right now.

Someone added JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The 7th Stand User to Game Gourmet two days ago. I noticed only yesterday, because that edit happened to coincide with one of my own, but this gives me an actual reason to watch JBA itself in case I decide to ever play that particular game.
Watched a bit of footage on YouTube, and as it turns out, the aesthetics are not a complete emulation of the Game Boy. Namely, the audio and the "fading" special effect for a vanquished enemy are more reminiscent of the Super NES. Brought this up on the ROMhacking forum, and someone answered last night that they actually have more to do with the manga, the game itself being a more direct adaptation of its Stardust Crusaders arc than the respective anime season and some of the graphics being derived therefrom.
Also...
I recently have learned from Jake about this fangame called Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: The 7th Stand User, which was created with RPGMaker but styled specifically after the original Game Boy as a clone of the original SaGa/Final Fantasy Legend trilogy. That, of course, was three games for one system before the series continued through the Playstation.

According to that series' Wikipedia page, there was actually another trilogy in-between for the Super Famicom. Not sure how I missed that the first time.
