Took another shot with Super Mario Odyssey, and it still didn't hold my interest. Must be from having Disgaea back on mind, but now is still the time to keep RPGs in general to a minimum.
Brian told me that while progress is especially hard for him on weekdays, he will actually be coming home with Marie for Sunday, and we have agreed to discuss what's actually involved in all this then, with her input as well for scheduling.
Right now, everything feels pointless. I have no motivation to read anything, or to work on any documents or sprites. Can't wait to see where things actually go, before I decide whether or not to play anything from there.
Really, though... Is getting a whole pool of contestants before launching the contest itself actually necessary? Just one would be enough, if they do a good enough job, and in case that fails, it's not like we have to guarantee a winner, since no one who loses is gonna care who wins. Isn't the whole point of Freelancer to put stuff up first for people to apply for, and then seek people out if it doesn't work out? All I want personally is some advice and experience for the sake of better management, and I expected continual correspondence by the day when I first agreed to let him help sort things out. I thought it was gonna take a few months because there's a lot to take care of, not because he's too busy even outside of work to tend to it.
At the rate we're going, it's gonna be years, and maybe decades, before both the fic and the game are finished, and I seriously wonder if I should've just proceeded and done things my own way. Jake's past bullshit with Unwilling Service does not help my patience either.
