Jun. 1st, 2018 05:08 amMom suggested I eat breakfast at home yesterday, and that was really for the better. It took until around noon to reach Delaware, and Dad ended up passing the diner we normally eat at, so we ended up eating lunch at a pizzeria somewhere instead.
Upon entering, someone found us a table, and he ordered a whole pizza pie to share while I went to use the restroom. Apparently, though, he was just the host, as an actual waitress came over to take orders while Dad went to the restroom not long after. I told her that Dad already ordered, but then he came back and actually placed the order then.
(Would have placed a personal order if we knew what was actually going on.)
After leaving, I asked Dad if he'd be able to stop at a Starbucks along the way to cool my mouth off of garlic. (He had stopped at two along the way prior, which I covered for with some gift cards but still had two left over.) He told me that there aren't that many in Maryland or Virginia, but was expecting to see an ice cream place somewhere along the way. After a while of failing to, he instead stopped at a gas station, gave me a twenty, and also asked me to buy some kind of expresso drink for him. I got myself an Oreo cone, but what he asked for was sold out.
And so, here we are now. Aunt Marie and Uncle Ray also mentioned at some point that they're actually due to leave tomorrow.
