Nov. 14th, 2018 05:15 pmBeen tempted to play this mobile RPG called Food Fantasy ever since someone recently posted that and five other games to Game Gourmet. Right about now, having just abandoned TTYD and started moving this year's firewood after Dad got around to sorting things out first, I feel like I could use some new characters to liven things up. However, just about everything tells me that that is not a good game to indulge in, bound to suck up my time and money when I've got quite an agenda for these next few months. I do not need something to keep me around with daily missions when it comes time to continue with Starbound, and TTYD has been the third game this year so far that I have found myself starting over with more than once; if I were to do that in a mobile game, anything I paid with real money for would go to waste, and even if I were to pay minimally to start with, it would still add up to more than I would have paid for the same amount in one go early on.
So, three weeks of stacking wood, returning to Wanikani once and for all, some loose ends to tie up before I run the first Starbound contest, and no game in particular to liven things up until I host a special event on this blog. Even though I have more than a dozen games planned out since last summer, I don't wanna risk getting carried away and blowing through them all while Starbound itself is back on hiatus, and honestly, I'm not even actually in the mood for another regular RPG, or else I would more likely return to Mother for the sake of that game's walkthrough that I started a year ago.
It does help, though, that we are expecting Brian here for Thanksgiving. If he does not get around to doing what I need with the contest terms, I will be sure to set him up while he is actually here, when he is not busy with work.
Also, this isn't the first time I've craved any game in particular. I have known myself to do that with any game whose menu I look up online, including Tokyo Xanadu which I had already written off.
