Getter Love!!

Round 1:

Hooked up with Meifa, and built up a decent relationship with her before seeking out the Beach Date card. Was never able to find it, either at the Information Center or at Panda Park, but I was able to find a good few attack cards to keep Chikashi and Daisuke at bay with.

One evening, I hopped over to Itoh Mart, the closest place to my house, to use something on Sesshuu so that he'd have to arrange a date with Natsuki for two turns later. Quite by coincidence, Reika found me, and a Reika-Give card that might have otherwise been a wasted turn to buy ended up becoming a brief saving grace, allowing me to send her over to Chikashi.

Unfortunately, he, in turn, used a Stamina-Down card on me, forcing me to stay home the next turn, and all I had to attack Daisuke with was a Geri card, which only takes effect the turn after it's used, and which I only bought for lack of any Battle or power-down cards available when it was.

And so, Daisuke went on to confess his love to Natsuki at Panda Park.

(Good thing I had already been to Meifa's house, where I would have gone again one turn later.)

Round 2:

Started off with some flip-flopping between Ayumi and Hana, before settling for the former. And, I managed at one point to take her to the shrine, where we got to watch some nice fireworks.

As things dragged on for a total of ten game-days, Chikashi and Sesshuu both competed pretty well for Meifa, and Daisuke did even better with Natsuki. Come day 9, I was the one invited to a Cafe Liquid party by Alfonso, and went on to invite Daisuke and Ayumi, the latter just to prevent him from winning on that turn. The two of us both wound up with our respective girls of choice, and scored 30 points each by confirming them our favorite girls. Ayumi invited me out somewhere, but I turned her down just to try to beat her somewhere instead for her Love Love ending.

Luckily, Daisuke still had his stamina to recover that evening, and Chikashi had both his energy bars to refill at home.

Unfortunately, I was never able to score a Love Love ending with Ayumi. That evening, she came back to Cafe Liquid, where I'd have no chance of beating her, and I instead went to Panda Park and bought a Stamina-down card. The next morning, she went back to Cafe Liquid again, and with Daisuke back in the game and ready to meet Natsuki at the Information Center, I had no choice but to go meet Ayumi and settle for her Suki Suki ending again.

(Why couldn't she have hit Panda Burger or the Karaoke Corner on either turn instead?)

Just finished my first round of Getter Love!! for today, and it's probably gonna be my last round for the marathon.

I just had Makoto's Love Love ending on the horizon, and happened to have a Reika-Give card to use after Reika herself spotted me at the School. I meant to send her off to Chikashi, who had just shortly beforehand tried to win the game with Natsuki but had too low of one energy bar to do so. Somehow, Reika was still there, and took a Stamina-Down card that I was saving then for Sesshuu, who was on his own roll with Ayumi. Now, I can only wonder if I accidentally gave Reika to myself, because Chikashi's Hygiene and Stamina were both low enough to be emptied if one of my power-down cards had actually worked on him. Instead, Natsuki talks with him normally, and he indeed proceeds to win the game. I'm pretty sure Chikashi didn't have a Reika-Away card either, or else trying to send her off would have triggered a different sound effect.

This is just too hard a pill to swallow.

It's one thing how often one of my opponents wins, but having just mishandled things so badly there...

There were only gonna be three days more of this, including one that would get postponed for our annual trip to New Jersey, and now, I think I'm gonna take them to focus instead on a file I recently created for my planned Lucky Star fangame.

Fuck me...
