Brian asked me yesterday if Phantasy Star's lead character is female. Obviously, I must have been in the overworld with Alis still alive when he came into my room just briefly the other day. He commented on such a concept as female lead characters being "righteous", and I commented on that being all the more reason for Starbound to be adapted into a game. I also mentioned Freedom Planet having that. (Rosenkreuzstilette, Makeruna! Makendou, Selector Infected WIXOSS, and The Legend of Korra have also come to mind since that exchange.)
