Jun. 5th, 2019 07:49 amMom stayed home from work these past two days.
Yesterday, a pigeon wandered into our basement. It left a trail of blood behind it, and she and I identified a cut on its wing while rounding it back outside. Shortly thereafter, she had me fetch a cage that she and Dad used to trap raccoons in at one point, and let it rest in our backyard before transferring it later into the garden to let roam around there.
During dinner, Mom told me that that cut might have been from a hawk that she and Dad noticed all the other birds circling around it to chase it away.
This morning, I went into the garden to take some plants out of Mom's shed for her, but didn't notice the bird anywhere. I should wonder if it healed up well enough to have just flown away.
