May. 2nd, 2020 05:37 amBetween housework, Wanikani, and struggling with a returning urge to play Food Fantasy*, I finally managed to get around to Trails in the Sky yesterday. Wound up playing for several hours on end while constantly re-trying the first non-tutorial dungeon almost every time someone got KO'ed, so long that I had to put Wanikani on vacation mode, but later tried fighting everything come my way (including Lily Movers, which can't move), instead of trying to sidestep enemies and risking surprise attacks, and found things to be much easier that way, when I actually level up before fighting the Red Insectos on my way to getting the White Bracelet first.
At the rate I've been going, though, this looks like it will take much more than a week to complete. Having barely gotten anything done this past month, I will probably come back to THIS IS IT! on Monday, and will start this game over on the 20th (at which point, I will be also sure to put Wanikani on hiatus if it proves too much of an obstacle).
(*I should make a point not to keep tabs on Food Souls from now on. Granted, I might have come to terms even with artifacts, should I fail to find an alternative game to this, but even all kinds of stupidity aside, I would like not to have something so easy just to indulge in if I can help it. If I do decide to play this, it will probably be in July, when the game might celebrate its second anniversary.)
