Jun. 3rd, 2020 05:46 amEven after getting Mednafen to run the game, there had still been issues with actually recording it.
First of all, unlike with SNES9X, there is no way to maximize Mednafen. It can be fullscreened, but at first, OBS Studio would not pick it up. I brought this up on the OBS forum, and managed to make a few changes so that it does, but the emulator would then slow down in that mode. More changes later, back up to speed, but still choppy, annoying to play as such, and I'm pretty sure it would not be any easier on anyone's eyes who watches it on YouTube.
So, for what I wanted to be the last time I ever play that damn game, I'm being forced to choose between footage with stuff surrounding the emulator, choppiness, or having to upgrade to Windows 10, which not only would cost a lot of money but both my parents and Chelle have expressed disdain for. (Something was also mentioned about Vertical Sync, but an alternate method I found to downloading anything containing that requires you to upgrade after you download it, which still costs money.)
So far, I was actually hoping not to conduct any business at all while going through this game, but not only has someone on Upwork asked me for his next task, but someone else on the ROMhacking forum has actually offered to record the game for me after I asked there how to hire people for that. The latter also seems to post only every few days or weeks, and I have just sent him a PM asking if he's still interested.
At this point, I think I am going to end things here, seeing how I never wanted to play MMZ again to begin with. Brian will be home Friday night, and should be able to help me over the weekend to go over THIS IS IT! again and determine what I should expand upon before I finally publish that and put it behind me.
In the meantime, now should be the time I start figuring out how to go on about Kuki for Day of the Beehive, and also to wean myself off of Food Fantasy Wiki.
Once all is said and done, I start over with The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky.
