Feb. 13th, 2021 05:17 amHad some errands to run with Mom yesterday.
Her main stop was at Meat Farms, and I went with her to pick up some empanadas. Afterwards, we considered whether to stop at the library then or today, since she had something she forgot to print up at work. She decided to after seeing how heavy traffic was on our main way home, and so that she wouldn't have to worry about anything today, but she still needed a dollar in change, and we made a sidestop to Stop & Shop.
Upon arriving at the library, she saw that the post office was also still open, and went there first to drop something off. It also turned out that a cookbook she requested was being held, and since we had already been considering making some kind of dessert like apple crumble or banana bread, she asked me to look up bananas in the index, and the only such recipe listed there was for almond butter banana bread, which is a coincidence since we also have a surplus of almond butter.
After arriving home, Mom had me bring some seed to the birdfeeder, and I noticed a lone sparrow puffed up nearby, presumably scared from having been attacked by a hawk. I went back in to show Mom, and she kept an eye on it before bringing it inside and putting it in a San Pellegrino box to recover. It already seemed to recover somewhat by the time she brought it in, and she is going to release it when it gets light out.
