Aug. 25th, 2021 06:04 amLost the inclination two days ago to continue playing, after automatically selling some Feathered Hats in favor of some Pointed Hats despite the former's own advantage of providing resistance to wind magic. I had gone on to analyze the different equipment in both I and II, as well as in Mother 3, and spent half my time yesterday writing up an assessment of the different equipment in I.
Long story short, most headgear in that game should in fact be sold if everyone's already wearing something better. Ditto for body armor until after Kaku, where you can buy Guard Robes that increase your Magic stat by 15. Shields are all purely defensive, but there are plenty of characters who don't start out with one but can wield one, making even weak Wooden Shields useful enough to keep in the vault. And there are plenty of accessories with secondary effects, starting with Magic-enhancing Emblems in Kouan.

For days now, our dishwasher has not been draining, and we've had to wash all our dishes manually. Mom told me last night that a replacement part was scheduled to arrive tomorrow, only for Dad to find it already on our doorstep an hour later as he went out to close up the garage and boathouse.
