Dec. 31st, 2021 06:58 amThose Tintin books have been divided into two stacks for days now. Just yesterday, I noticed the top one of one stack being Tintin and Alph Art, the final book that was never completed or published officially, which is actually about what would have happened in that book.
Dad and Aunt Marie were right there in the living room, and I asked him if he already knew anything about that. He said he was glad to learn such a thing, and went on to mention how they used to watch the first animated series just before school. I told him about the second series, which I remember seeing a few episodes of on Nickelodeon back in 1995.
I went into my room to work on Unity, but then heard the opening theme to the 1991 series and came out. We didn't watch further than that, because they were actually looking for the '57 series, and instead of having to distinguish between the two series, I suggested Marie type in "Objective Moon", whose full title is actually Objective Moon Espionage.
I was sure to mention that, while the title is clearly derived from Destination Moon's original French title, Objectif Lune, the opening events are very different from those overall from DM. I would have to read its follow-up book, Explorers of the Moon, now that we actually have a copy of that, but among other things, DM did not involve Snowy getting kicked onto a shuttle and sent into space alone.
Dad left early on, but Brian and Emily eventually joined us for a bit. Brian says he doesn't remember the '57 series at all, even though I do recall seeing a few episodes of that when I was little.
We eventually clocked out half an hour before the episode ended.

The six of us ate out at The Curry Club last night.
I rode with Brian and Emily, and we arrived there shortly before our parents and Aunt Marie did. They each ordered a drink in this attached bar called The Velvet Lounge.
Our actual dinner was also the first time I have ever tried a lassi. Was going to order an abdhi lassi, just to see what that is, but it wasn't available, so I ordered a mango one instead.
And it's a good thing I got that instead of a soda. Remind me never to order vindaloo again; way too spicy!
