May. 2nd, 2022 06:53 amMy parents arrived home at 2:30 yesterday afternoon.
The three of us later spoke to Brian on the phone, and Mom told me when Dad took his turn, that he has recently been promoted to work on computers.
Mom suggested I have dinner while awaiting my turn, expecting Dad to take a while with him, only for the connection to cut off. Mom set the phone beside me, and Brian called back just moments later. Mom put the rest of my food in the microwave while letting me speak to him.
One of the first things I brought up with him was from the second section of this old entry. Until then, since he chose two other games to rent following our first time with Earthbound, I thought it was a good thing I insisted on renting that game a second time, lest he forget all about it since. As he cleared up, though, he was already planning to buy the game instead (he did mention in a comment, having bought it during a trip to Walmart that I didn't know about at the time), considering the game too long to complete in one rental, not wanting to play the beginning again and again. Even if Mom and I knew about that, though, I'm not sure whether Mom would have succeeded in talking me into waiting for that instead, given my mindset at that age (I might have, though), and especially when he was renting something I wanted nothing to do with. (This, however, does not surprise me, given his purchase months later of A Link to the Past, which I thought nothing about since seeing previously in Virginia.)
Went on to describe my current anime viewings and what I have just received on Upwork, promising to share the latter's final revision with him, but we didn't have much else to talk about from there.
