Jan. 13th, 2023 06:22 amMom and I started watching episode 2 of Haganai NEXT, but she asked me early on to stop the episode. I haven't seen it in a while, but she thinks that the show is already getting lazy with its story in favor of gratuitous fanservice.
Will have to rewatch after I finish watching Magia Record, to see if it might be worthwhile another day, but the two of us debated what else we could watch. I was going to suggest MR, but she didn't want me to sit through all the same episodes I've just watched already.
After confirming that she was able before to enjoy Nakaimo and Mahoromatic for their storytelling to make up for their own shares of fanservice, we went on to agree upon Magical Girl Spec-Ops Asuka, after I made sure online that that show has more of a plot than I could remember at this point, and that Magia Record can wait until next time I subscribe to Funimation.
